Links to Thomson Innovation Record Views on the SequenceBase Research Portal

February 20, 2017

Thomson Innovation’s Record Views are detailed descriptions of sequences from GENESEQ database. The SequenceBase Research Portal contains links to the corresponding Record Views.

The information in each Thomson Innovation Record View is divided into several sections or fields. Some of them can be viewed by non-authorized users, other fields require authorization.

The information in Bibliography, Abstract, Legal Status fields is available to unauthorized users (although you the files can not be downloaded):

To get access to the Classes/ Indexing, Family, Claims, Description and Citations sections one should register to the Thomson Innovation site.

You may want to see the Record Views as they contain some additional information about sequences, which is not provided by the reports generated from the SequenceBase Research Portal, namely, the information comprised in Application Number/Date, Priority Number/ Date/ Country and Abstract fields.

There are many places on the Research Portal where you encounter the Document Number of sequences. From all these pages Record Views can be opened:

1)  There is a Document Number column on the “Evaluate” page. The Record View opens both in a basic and “grouped by document” mode:

basic groupement:

evaluate - basic groupement

“grouped by document” mode:

full evaluate - grouped by docs

2) “My Patents” tab also contains a Document Number column:

my patents
By clicking on the Document Number from here, you’ll see the report generated by the SequenceBase Research Portal:

patents - sb report + link to ti

The corresponding Thomson Innovation Record View can be opened by clicking on the Document Number of the sequence.
