On the SequenceBase Research Portal much of the information is represented in various tables, for example search results tables, tables of documents etc. To simplify the process of analysing search results, the portal enables users to display/hide the columns of the tables according to their individual specifications.
The “Toggle visible columns” button empowers users to select the columns of the preferable parameters and deselect those unwanted.
Note that some columns of the tables are hidden by default. Additionally, the chosen column set is saved and it will automatically emerge in the next search.
There are 3 display modes to group the search results so that they are structured and well-organised. The parameters (and, consequently, the columns) diverse depending on the chosen display mode:
