The GENESEQ FASTAlert database provides access to recently published patent sequences before they are fully annotated and added to the GENESEQ database. The database captures basic patent publications from Derwent World Patents Index® (DWPI℠), which contains patent applications and grants from 44 of the world’s patent issuing authorities.The GENESEQ FASTAlert database has an archive with each record containing standardized terminology and bibliographic data, enhanced titles, English language abstracts, and manually-captured sequence information. It is updated twice a week.
Changes to GENESEQ FASTAlert format have been made on the SequenceBase Research Portal – now document names are followed by corresponding kind codes. Kind codes give certain information about a particular document. They are assigned according to the authorities of the document, patent types (as there are patent applications, granted patents and others), the country they we published etc. The very descriptive definition of kind codes and their brief history is provided by the Clarivate Analytics.
